Cover creation (http://vimeo.com/5989754)

Aw, this brings back memories of my old graphic design dayjob laying out trade magazines. Photoshopping crazy cover designs, laying everything out in InDes. I miss Adobe InDesign.
Such a crazy production, just for a simple object shot. Overkill, all that equipment for such a simple shot that some college kid can produce with a desk lamp in their dorm, and then tweak in photoshop later. LOL

I agree, what a lot of work for such a basic shot :)

Fascinating video, thanks leaf.

Had to hold onto the arms of my chair it was going so fast! Good video.

I don't think there is anything crazy in that production: a digital large format camera plus few head flash lights. That deep of field of that 3G iPhones cover shot simply cannot be obtained without tilt/shift movements.
Scheimpflug is dead but his principle is still alive!
Bye!
