I'm leery of entering contests. Most entry forms require you to release all right to the photo ... even if you do not win.
I haven't read the rules for the Smithsonian contest but wonder if others have the same concerns?

In general I am with you on that and if they do not require it the prizes normally does not make it worth entering, or it is liked to required printouts for display purposes, you have to make through them (wink-wink), if you reach the next stage.
