"The L16 fits in your back pocket, yet packs 16 lenses and sensors to capture a single holy-guacamole shot"

It would be nice to downsize. Does it come with a motorized slider based on magnets? If so, I'm in!  ;D

That looks like promising technology

That's where it is. Interesting concept but a little early to be jumping in with the often claimed, will make the DSLR obsolete. Just like the phones haven't made the DSLR obsolete. Although pocket cameras have probably been knocked into history by phones and the quality.

Lets see, slow focus, a little grainy, and did anyone notice the tiny flash? Nice idea putting stitching software into the camera, and 50MP images can be downsized to make them appear sharper.

You can reserve one now for a $250 deposit and $1700 due prior to shipment (sometime this year and only available in the USA so far).
A bit much for something I can't hold in my hand and see raw images on my computer before I buy.

Lets wait and see where it is in 5 years might be on to something might be a gimmick. If the technology is really any good by then will be 1/2 the price and four times better.

With full-frame quality, 10-600 mm focal length and a hovering magnetic slider and I would gladly drop $10k. Maybe in 5 years the technology will be there...

No doubt if you pay your money upfront before it actually exists in production they will tell you it does ;-)
