I just learned today that it takes a minimum of $50.00 to cash out at fotolia. Did anyone learn about this or was it announced in a blog?
-

Hmm. Hasn't it been like that for a long time?

I think you may cash less than 50, but they would take some fee in that case. I think you may cash anything more than 2 USD, but with a charge.
-
I cashed in 28 credits on 1 march, and they charged I credit for the transaction. I guess there is no charge if its 50 credits or more.

I think you're right... I was charged so it must make a while

I tried to cash out today, and they asked me for my passport???
Ok???
-
Exactly I do not think it is OK since I hate BigBrothers... But they DO want some ID. Otherwise you would not be able to cash your credits. But I do not mind that much in their case. Anyway - they are not the only ones. I had to upload my photo ID both to IS and to SS as well.

At end of 2007 I cashed out at $40+ (but under 50) via paypal, and it cost 1.00 fee.
-
I think it used to be that you could cash out with less but pay a fee. I always waited til $50 anyway. Monday, I thought I had $50 so went to convert, but I only had $49.75 available and it wouldn't let me. Not sure when this changed.

Credit conversion
I'm sorry! You have not reached the minimum number of 50 credits to cash out yet.
To learn more about cashing out credits please review the links below.
How will I be compensated if my files are purchased?
From the Fotolia site. Never had to cash out at 50 before.
-
It still says the following on their website:
"The contributor can convert their credits into money which will then be transferred directly into their Paypal or Money booker account. From their Paypal or Money booker account, the contributor can transfer the money into their bank account.
Fotolia charges No Fee for transactions over 50 credits. Transactions less than 50 credits will be a low fixed price of 1 credit whatever the amount of the conversion. Thus you can transfer money as soon as your account contains at least two eligible credits.
Important! For anti-fraud reasons, conversion of Fotolia credits through Paypal or Moneybooker is not permitted until 45 days after selling your first image."
-
They must need to update their information then. I have more than 2 credits but less than 50 and it told me I needed 50 to cash out.
Seems Fotolia changed the rules and didn't think it important to mention to it's members.

Since 1st april there is a new rule, that minimum is 50 credits for cache out. They only have to update official rules on blogs or whatever....
Not a big deal. Every other site has simmilar limits.
Somebody mentioned ID. That is 2 months old rule... yes, like on most of other sites, you need to upload ID to be able to cache out.
