Title: 100% "Good News" Site, 100% of the time!
Post by: SuperPhoto on March 22, 2019, 13:02
In the spirit of fun & all the "Good News!" e-mails various contributor sites have been sending recently, I thought - wouldn't it be fun to create a 100% "Good News!" site, that is 100% "Good News!" all the time?

Basic premise is, site gets 100% of the profits, contributor gets 0%. You do all the work, site gets all the profit! That way, it's ALWAYS "Good News!" :)

Thoughts? Yes/No? Do you like it? :)

(One person's good news might be another's horrible news.
So I will enter the fun conversation here)

"Eh..... No membership fees?!"

Nope! I knew it there is a catch!

I currently do it on Instagram and Flickr, and I have so much exposure earned!

Will you guarantee me a minimum of 50 likes per day and 10 new followers?
Else, you are ripping me off!!!!

:P

If Good News site calculates tax withholding like Envato and Creative market, some contributors might end up with negative account balance! Isn't that exciting?

Envato booted me out as a contributor which meant I had more time to go fishing rather than wasting time uploading to a site that made me next to nothing.

No !! We should pay for such  a wonderful service!

I'd suggest $35 per month :D

Haha, yes, good point! With this site - you can ALSO pay taxes for any sales made just like envato does! Ain't that GREAT?!?!?

EXCELLENT idea! If you want a "discount" (using the 'corporate' discount calculator some companies use) - then "save" money on your $35/month membership - with a $795/year membership! (795/12 = $66/month - but hey, who's counting?) :)

Actually $35 per month might be a reasonable idea.

I'd lose less than the recent Pond5 royalty cut.

Yes, think of all the FREE exposure! If you were to use a local newspaper - you'd only get MAYBE on a GOOD day a few thousand... but with THIS site - you can have BILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLIONS and BILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLIONS of people seeing your work!

Think of all the FREE EXPOSURE!!!

Think of it! BILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLIONS of PEOPLE! Where else can YOu say you got BILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLIONS of potential people looking at your work?

What are you waiting for?!?!

Sadly, people invented exposure many years before Millenials and influencers...

Do my work and I will bring you big customers.

You are fresh new, don't ask for money you get experience.

It is nothing. 10 minutes and 50 clicks.

Look I could do it myself, just "whoever" suggested you as good and cheap.

That last one is actually a good catch...

That's true... fashion photographers were working "for exposure" in magazines before internet I guess :)
