I added them in January because so many people had them rated as one of the higher rated sites. I was a couple clicks from deleting everything this morning.  :) I just thought it was me...

I'm still uploading, and although sales are slow, they are very steady. They are also virtually maintenance free, with automatic payouts and all. With the bad performance of StockXpert, they are actually moving up my ranking. If successful microstock agencies continue to be bought up by morons, some of the mediocre ones may end at the top of the pile faster than we thought possible   ::)

Good point epixx...I still upload there myself, been there for about a year, by far not one of my best sellers though.

I'm having regular sales (10-20/ month) with a port of around 250 images. So I continue uploading there, but it still the lowest earner for me, because of mighty subs.

Not me. I've stopped about 8 months ago. Sales are just riduculous. Every day I think about delete all photos there.
In my opinion we make a big mistake contributing to too many sites. Competition is good by supporting losers is stupid.
Differences between my earnings on "big 4" and anothers sites are so huge that sometimes I think that maybe they sell but "forget" to pay us.
Spreading our work everywhere is risky.

I like them.  One of the easiest uploads, hardly any rejections, a higher subs commission than most sites and reasonable sales.  They are usually in 6th or 7th place.  Some months are better than others, their EL's are better than some sites and make a big difference.

Why stop uploading there?  It takes minutes and brings in extra money.  I don't understand leaving the smaller sites, they can't provide competition to the big sites if we don't support them.  Do we want to end up with 1 or 2 sites that can dictate our commissions?

+1

Great site. Easiest of all the sites to upload to. Pretty much 100% acceptance rate. Hit a payout every month. What's not to like?

I make about 100$ month there, so for the little effort that it takes it's worth uploading there even though it is always in last place.

They do something over $100 dollars per month for me, so definitely better than say the new startups (yay, cc etc.) or Mostphotos. Very easy upload process too.

small, but steady income, about 3% of my total earnings

so far, in April, 123RF is doing much better than DT ...

For me, they're a small additional income for a small additional effort.  And they haven't done anything to tick me off, which is more than I can say for a couple of bigger earners (and one lesser one, to which I've stopped uploading).  I'd call that a no brainer.

Although I don't make as much money on 123RF as I'd like to by now, I'm still earning enough to make the time I spend uploading worthwhile.  Just wish my sales weren't so stagnant.  I haven't seen any measurable growth since July 2007.

As subs prevail, I stopped uploading there.  They are one of my worst performers too.

Just out of interest, what do people feel are criteria for being re-categorised from newbie to non-newbie? Looks like stopping uploading to 123 is being proposed to one them! I must still be a newbie - sigh ...

Sales are growing extremely slowly but they grow month to month. Upload process is very simple so it's not much pain. I got payout every 2 months.

I upload there as it is a very easy process. I have yet to see regular sales there though. Still, as someone said, they have not done anything to tick me off. My portfolio is still small and I will keep building it.

I also think it is important to have competition among several sites at least.

This describes my experience there exactly.  I still manage to make payout each month, but after 3 years and quadrupling my portfolio in that time I would expect to have seen some growth.

Thats the problem, despite uploading I did not experience really growth in return, so I decided to not upload anymore since it almost does not make a difference.

I just checked 123RF and noticed I had a PEL there today. But I don't know how to navigate the site well. Does anybody know how to find the picture that actually sold PEL? All I can find is the mere number of downloads.

Thanks guys. Been with them since the beginning. Was just curious if any of the "Regulars" were still there. And agree one of the easiest to upload to and attach releases.

I left there about 2 years ago because of dismal sales on my images that sold well on IS, SS, DT, and StockXpert. I decided to look again at 123 if they were doing any better after a year or two.
Anyone here seen improvement in sales there over the last 24 months?

I've been with them well over a year with very little increase in sales. 3 in feb,1 in march, and nothing in april as of yet.

Ouch. You can not deduce trends from a number like that. I just looked and I had a meager 24$ there till now in April. Apparently, mileage may vary.  :o
Let's assume 30$/month, that's still 360$ per year. Easy upload, no categories, model release added in bulk. For those 360$ earned in a couple of hours per year, I can't go flip hamburgers.

I like the Hamburger-flipping criterion a lot  :P
Istock makes me about the same per year, but it takes 20x the upload time. That's 40hrs per year. Well, even if I have the images ready and keyworded, it's a loss to upload to iStock for me since I get less out of it than flipping Hamburgers during that time. That's not emotional at all, it's just logic.

Yeah, I also upload there. I've hit 5 downloads for April so far, 3 for March (that's when I started uploading there I think).
Not bad really, considering the size of my port - just a hair under

This is actually my 2nd best selling site atm, considering iStock reject me every time I apply (4 times now, and counting).
SS and 123RF (oddly enough) outperform any other site I upload to.

I think there's potential there.
Ok, look, my ports are TINY at FT and DT (no sales there in 2 months).
StockXpert and BigStock are under 100 images.
SS is 64, 123 is about 142 odd I think.
I'm not the world's greatest photographer (in fact, probably closer to the worst :)), but hey, it's a good start in my honest opinion.

I reckon we should all give the smaller sites a chance - especially when comms are as good as 123.
