Seriously funny.
I guess it's the famous 'satire defence' - but it does have ads on the pages ...

He could have bought the images at least :)  Still funny though :)

Aren't humorous articles on stock photography #4 on the list of tired, cliched articles humor writers should avoid?

It seems Mr. Cody Johnston has not paid for using these images.

I didn't find it funny at all.

I'm proud to say I made it in the post with a vet holding a rabbit:)

stock is all about cliches so it's not surprising people find them when they look.

Its right, we are selling pop.  Cliches, and cliches have to be exaggerated to be comprehended in a glimse of an eye.
So nothing ridiculous there.

Compares to" love me forever" in pop music.
And there is a lot of money in "love me forever"

Exactly.  And for example, with the vet shoot I did - I had a technical advisor on set who was a vet and we shot a ton of procedures and things vets normally do - not so cliche but hopefully usefull and what comes out as the top selling shots of vets ... yep.. the vets smiling looking at the camera holding a rabbit.

I photograph the butterflies they can put on oat meal packets in Mexico.
And also the oats if they want that.

We do pop.

no shame in that.
it is an art in it self.

Newspapers have ads too. (without them there would be no magazines or newspapers) He can be Editorial or Parody and it's legal use.

Amusing. He could have done a top ten and not stretched it so hard.

Yeah, what's with the binoculars and the computer. Was there a best seller somewhere that spawned another flock of imitations? The usual Micro policy. If someone has a file with blue flames, shoot a copy with the same concept. That's the business of some of the photo factories, imitate and copy.

Wow, I must be doing something wrong.  I have never shot any of those stock cliches.  Thanks to that guy for the great concept ideas for upcoming shoots ;)
