Hi!

I guess the first week of May is going to be remarkably slower, right ? There is labor day in many countries and people take the whole week off. Could anyone confirm that from your earnings history ? How is it in your country ?

Best!

In the Netherlands, Labor Day isn't a public holiday. We do have Remembrance Day and Liberation Day on the 4th and 5th of May, but those aren't public holidays either.

I haven't really noticed a significant dip in sales in this week in previous years.

Given that a considerable amount of my work is being sold in Northern America (Where Labour Day is on the 3rd of September), I usually don't have a sensitive decrease of my earnings on this period, at least nothing statistically significant

I think today is a clear indicator of how much of my sales is outside the United States. On Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day, I see about a 30% decline in sales. Today, May Day in much of the world, it's like a slow Sunday.

Cannot confirm. Having average to slightly above average sales right now (Monday/Tuesday), and historically, May as a whole is usually a very good month.

US holidays are the only ones that cause a noticeable drop in sales for me. According to my statistics, US buyers buy as much as the next 10 countries combined!

...and by the way, buyer #2 UK Labour Day is on Monday the 7th. Australia too (parts of the country).

I don't think May day is a big factor...most months you can find something that will slow sales. Xmas/new year Easter Summer Holidays etc etc.

The UK does not have a Labour Day. The May Day bank holiday in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, which is the Early May bank holiday in Scotland, is a traditional holiday that celebrates spring.

Yep first and last Monday in may bank holiday in UK. I had a mini "late surge" at SS maybe some reporting issues....turned it into an average day.
