Title: 2014 Photographer's tour of Turkey
Post by: cascoly on June 15, 2013, 01:43
I'm organizing a photographer's tour of Turkey for May 2014.  It will consist of several weeklong units that you can sign up for.

Possible weeklong itineraries include

1. Istanbul, Gallipoli, Troy, Bursa and Pergamum
2. Aegean Coast from Bodrum to Antalya with a gulet (yacht) 2-3 night cruise
3. Cappadocia
4. Eastern Turkey including Nemrut Dag and Van

Exact order of the trip will depend on interest for each segment.

We've led 6 previous trips to Turkey with our now friend and guide Lutfi Atay, a professor at the University in Cannakale.  Trips will visit popular destinations and also include less visited pace. With our own driver and vehicle we'll be able to plan for best lighting and times of day.The trips will also include short dayhikes which allow us to visit otherwise inaccessible ruins.  Non photographers are of course welcome, and we will provide alternative activities.

The trip will be include all land costs, entry fees, airport transfers, hotels and 3 meals per day.  Single supplement is waived if you agree to share a room if possible.

Details and images from previous trips are at

If interested, email me to be placed  on our list for future updates.

here's the itinerary for the 2014 Turkey tour:  it will be a mix of photography and light hiking, customized depending on the group's interests

Thanks for posting this here cascoly.  I really hope to make one of your trips some time.  I'm not sure if I'll manage this one either (young kids) but it's certainly on my mind...
