peers and dears, has anyone any experience, thoughts, advise to submit images on 500px?

500px -> Getty -> $0,04 royalties -> deleted my portfolio.

As mentioned, another Getty gateway.
I made some money from a small, dormant portfolio dating back from 2012, when bigger sales still occurred.
Only two sales worth mentioning last year, both VCG, both 6 dollar. This year: 0.

I don't upload there. You need premium membership to have unlimited uploads, so without it will take you quite some time to build a decent portfolio.

Would advice against it, not worth the time and effort.

Not a good place to sell photos in my opinion. No watermarks in the pictures and everyone can see them almost full size. And it's so easy nowadays to enlarge images with Photoshop, Gigapixel AI etc. I certainly wouldn't  upload any of my photos there, at least not any good ones.

500px is a great place to follow some extremely talented photographers and see their work (and share your own).

I've never seen it as a place to sell microstock images. Frankly, the overall quality used to be a lot better before they went with the "sell your images" angle.
