Ok, this isn't totally directed at microstock photography but it has a lot of very valid points and applies in most every case.

Work hard, stick it out, take a risk, limit risk with calculated decisions, don't go into debt, live within your means, do what you love

Thanks Leaf,

Some of the best photographers in the world great to hear how humble most of them truly are. Motivational? YES!

Thanks,
Jonathan

Very inspiring, especially since I'm just getting started in a business that people rightfully say I'm crazy to get into at this point in time..... stock photography with paid models (albeit very low paid) and a strong determination that I'm going to make a name for myself.  I have other ways to make money that make much more sense but this is just what I'd rather do..... so we'll see what happens

Thanks Leaf, Some voices still go around telling me, it is not working. Have to find the motivation to go ahead. It is difficult world if you have to go without reference points.

Here is one more series, I think someone may have posted here before. This is three part long series, others are linked to this one. Some gurus have been featured here:
Succeeding in Microstock Photography Part 1
vimeo.com/40520957 --- Succeeding in Microstock Photography Part 1
Part 2 and 3 are linked from that page.

I wrote a piece related to this, just because I always wanted to write this up. Well anyway, it could be a handy piece of information. Its certainly up to date as I did all research last week and this week.
