Hi guys!

I haven't visited this forum for a long time and there is no better excuse than talking about the stock distribution company we opened a couple of years ago: Addictive Stock Creatives.

We are always looking for new talents to distribute their work through premium collections such as Offset, Adobe Stock Premium, Focused, Evo...

Take a look at our website www.addictivestock.com and if anyone produces high quality content (photos and videos) similar to the ones we show on the web we would be happy to review them to assess their admission.

This is for example our portfolio at Adobe Stock Premium:
https://stock.adobe.com/contributor/206029493/addictive-stock

Feel free to ask me if you need more info

Anyone interested will want to know your cut from the agency and then their cut of that.

Says 60% on their site. They're unlikely to tell you the deal they have with agencies.

I assume its RF only, no RM so no use to me.

I guess one more alternative for people to look into. Looks like a similar concept to canva and westend.

Stocksy cant take them all, so it is good if people have options.

Anyone here, who is an active contributor and satisfied with communication, upload system and reporting?

Are they connected to stockperformer...etc...

Do you require space-related motion graphics content? Looks like it doesn't really fit with your style... but it sells pretty well!

Hi guys,
yes, the authors obtain 60% of the sales commission.

The idea is to work only in one direction with us and let Addictive do the attribution and distribution work.

The uploading is very simple, just send us the images or videos via FTP/wetransfer and that's all. Every Addictive member have a personal Stock Performer account where they can track the accepted content and sales in every agency.

At the moment we only work with premium RF collections

Cheers!

Do you have examples of that to study the possibility and add that type contents to the Addictive collection?

I am! I distribute between Addictive and Westend61, specially in Addictive since the workflow is easier and the retribution is higher (60%).

When you sign up they give you automatically a stock performer pro account with your portfolio. My main incomes with Addictive comes from Offset and Fotolia Infinite, but they starting now with other agencies so it should be growing up soon.

I've got a portfolio of around 5.000 images and videos with them, and I've been doing good so far. Actually I quit microstock since I'm working with them.

Hi Kike! Thanks for your message! We are glad to have you in the Addictive family :)

And yes, we work with Stock Performer since 2016 as you can see in their website:

Hi Soma - just to clarify, we would be getting 60% of the 35% commission from the agency, say if a clip sells on Adobe Stock, correct?

Not 60% of the actual price paid by the customer?

Hi Kike,

thank you for the info.

A lot of people are favoring macros over micros these days. Sounds like addictive is an interesting option.

Ill add it to my list of macro possibilities for those interested in  possible alternatives to stocksy.

Having stockperformer integration is a huge plus.

Hi people!

Addictive split with you 60% of percentage of the payment that the agency gives them: if your image sell 100$ in adobe premium, if they get 50$ finally you get 30$.

You can take the same file in offset and adobe Premium.

I know Soma, they will kword your images and videos and send to macro/mid stock sites.

Is like w61, cavan...

I've just been accepted and thinking hard whether to commit. Going exclusive is always a gamble especially with a newcomer.

The 60% gross is confusing at best and misleading at worse.

For those who considered Stocksy and were not successful this may be an interesting alternative for premium non-micro images.

AS are promoting them: https://blog.fotolia.com/us/2016/04/28/addictive-stock-creatives-a-new-producer-of-stock-in-spain-is-born/

This seems to be your first post on here.
We've had this sort of posting before from shills for dodgy new agencies.  That obviously  doesn't prove you're a shill or the new agency is dodgy, but caveats may be in order for a time ...

Yes, image exclusive.

F**k that s**t then! Getting 40% less than you'd get doing it yourself... and having to go exclusive for the privilege?! I think I'll pass.

Why don't you just come of the fence and say what you think ;-).?

I've put together a detailed review of Addictive Stock, including a short Q&A with Founder and CEO, Victor Torres:

Anyone started submitting to this agency? Would you share your thoughts on how it's going?

The thing with this model of distribution ( a middleman that secures you an entrance to Getty and other agencies that you can't get into on your own) is that it is a thing of the past. During golden years of macrostock, when these kind of  middlemen popped up everywhere, it was ok for photographers to give them half of the revenue, since they paychecks were huge.
Nowdays, no one can afford to give up on 50%, when earnings are so low.
Working directly with an agency that has strong customer base, like Getty at macro, or Shutterstock in micro,  is still the best solution for a stock photographer.
My opinion is these middleman should cut their provision, since the times have changed extremely. I would sign such an agreement only if middleman's share was 15-20%.
Imagine someone takes 50% of your microstock earnings every month. Would you still be satisfied?

If you get 60% of 50% it ends up pretty much the same as SS taking 66% of your earnings really. What would matter to me is absolute income not %ages. If someone could sell one of my images for 1m even 1% of that would be decent and probably deserved as they would be marketing geniuses ;-). Surely the deal breaker for most would be the exclusivity?

I decided not to submit to them for now. I'm already image-exclusive with Robert Harding and getting some regular sales. No point going exclusive with another agency to complicate matters.

Note that the images on Stocksy from ASC are not distributed files from their contributors, but wholly owned content of the business.  So, if you want your work represented by Stocksy, you will need to apply as a member directly.
