Post by: davidagall on May 10, 2010, 14:22
Just got a email from Dreamstime that a buyers wants to buy a additional format of one of my photos, The buyers is requesting the RAW.  Just wondering if it is worth it to sell my raw and what dreamstime charges for RAWS.   Have any of you done this and how much have you gotten.

Be careful, because if I am not mistaken, even subscribers can get the RAW.  There were a couple of threads about this here, so you may want to search for more information:

Once I was asked the same thing by a DT admin. I refused without thinking twice: the RAW is the digital negative of we photographers and we should never give them away for a few bucks.

Yes, a Raw can be purchased with a subscription. Here are 2 good discussions on the DT Forum -

Just hit the no thank you button on that request.

I've got the same raw request several times at DT but as I recall they never mentioned price in the email. I emailed them for more info but never heard back. Oh well.
