Title: Agency 1099's
Post by: Gel-O Shooter on February 03, 2016, 11:40
I know you can download your 1099 from SS online.  I think the rest of them send paper copies to your address, so I should have them all, is this correct?  Sorry, I'm not at my permanent address right now so my mom will have to send them to me.   Thanks, Ya'll!   ;D

I think you still can print out, just look for the word "tax" in the menu and it will probably be there.

SS and BS have it available for download. I am not sure what is minimum amount that make it mandatory for agency to send 1099-INT this year but previously some were sending it even not required. Last year I got form mailed by FT and DPH.

I don't know about other countries, but in the U.S., the IRS requires payers to submit a 1099 for total annual payments of $600 or more.  Several companies have opted to send 1099's for amounts smaller than this.  I received a 1099M from FT for a payout less than $600 (only joined in November of last year).  I'm not sure how foreign based companies handle this (such as Canva and Alamy), but it is your responsibility to report any income from these and other companies, whether or not you receive any documentation from them.
