Why does Alamy make it so hard to upload images? The old way worked fine for me. What about you fellow photographers? Thanks.

For me it was never great and now maybe just a little bit better. I really don't like the silly categories.....either do it right or not at all and the Discoverability thing is daft.

I also think it's a bit easier now. Do you think the categories really help? I don't bother too much with them but I also don't get many sales either :-\
-
Interesting differences: I thought it was bad before, and is worse now.
I don't think we have any way of knowing how many buyers have taken the opportunity to search by category. I find a lot of pics I submit don't really fit into any category. But at least they're not compulsory.

I use FTP

I use Stock Submitter. Makes my life so much easier and it handles Alamy just fine.

Terrible now. Worse than before. Requires several 'clicks' to get one to 'take' when prioritizing keywords, no idea if the optional stuff is worth doing...... In addition, if you do mixed batches, to avoid messing up, virtually each photo has to be done separately.......
Awful.

I agree 100%. I stop uploading and have 300 accepted photos unfinished. They are great images that are selling at other sites--but I just don't have time to finish them

Drop files in ftp and that's that. submitting is a bit time consuming but as with any job, you need to put a bit of time into it. I found Alamy the most honest system though, first they QC, then you work on it, not the other way around. Even if you don't do anything about it I found my files coming up in search, without any categorizing. I wish ALL agencies would be like that.

You have the time to start a thread, follow said thread and reply but you don't have the time to upload "great images" that are selling? Sounds more like laziness or time management issues.

Hey, you nailed it. :)
