Any one here ever heard of StockPhotoPro?? I just got a second e-mail from them wanting me to join their site but I don't know any thing about them. Just wondered if any one here has had any experience with them...good or bad??
-
Whoops...they are a macro stock site....I registered just to see what their pricing was since I couldn't find it in their info about joining..Some of the shots on there aren't very good at all...Maybe I ought to join just because mine are better...:)
I really wish these sites would have their best selling images on display or the most downloaded so it would give you an idea what kind of site they are.

Got the same spam today. I'm so happy they are writing me "again" about my impressive photos. Message was addressed to SIR, not my name. It also came in to a mail account that I don't use for Microstock, Stock, or any of the photo forums that I could track down from my password and account notebook. In other words I have one email account for all photo sites (I may be wrong) and it came to a different address.

I think you'll find they have.
That's why they're sending out these emails begging for contributors!
-
I got this second email too, that's why I am here to find out.
They sell both RM and RF. It bothers me a bit when I clicked on the bottom links, such as Legal notices | Privacy Policy | About Us, none of the pages existed. The copyright notice was 2008.

There has been other threads about them in the past months. Check the Search.
Regards,
Adelaide

Got the same email today. Here was my response.
Thank you for the invitation, but I signed up with your site last June. At that time I uploaded the twelve highest sellers from my 'impressive photos' and I have yet to see a single sale. Please don't hesitate to contact me again when your marketing efforts are up to speed.

Well I think I'll pass on this venture then...especially after looking at the photos they have on there...some sell for 10.00 and some sell for 149.00 and up. The quality of photos really isn't there for being a midstock company like that. Thanks to all of you for the heads up...:)

I got the same email pitch. Deleted quickly. Won't waste any more time on wanna-bees.

lol...same here.
I remember getting their first email and how they made it sound like they hand picked me because my photos were amazing or something. I knew it was a mass email but I thought I would give them a shot, 500+ photos later and not a single sale I stopped uploading.
Then I get this second email saying they are following up on the last one. Its like "Really, maybe you should take the two seconds to see that I actually signed up already!" All the more reason to stop uploading.
...Maybe if they get ftp I will start uploading again...

You mean you haven't gotten the third email yet with the $5,000 signing bonus?

lol.....your joking right? I would be all over that ;D
-
.... and 20% of the earnings are not so fine for a newly beginner agency, don't you think?....
-
yeah, no good photos there - just the stuff from contributors like Andres Rodriquez and Yuri Arcurs. I wish my photos were that "not very good". I don't know - 20% of a $50 sale seems like a lot better deal than 50% of a $5 sale. And who can't manage to get 300 images online to get 30%. Hmmmm, maybe I shouldn't say anything. Yeah, that's it - this is a bad site - contributors stay away!

Are you there? At a first glance, the site is programmed very professionally.
Site info here (http://www.cubestat.com/www.stockphotopro.com) (Cubestat). Not that impressive but slowly on the rise. They claim to have 5M images. I guess that's because they're an affiliate of Alamy. Right?
No FTP, no MRF handling (you have to upload the MRF with the picture), keywords have to contain age of models, location, setting and category. Yeah right. Yuri and Andres probably struck a private deal with them sending DVDs. Mere mortals will waste ages on uploading.

oldish thread I know, but I just got another email from them, now saying 6million images and offering a photo request service (yay, more unbelievable requests for high cost / low demand images at bargain prices). Anyway as i was bored, I did a search and see that they have all my alamy images anyway. so I can sign up and upload through and receive 30% (after 300 images) or get 40% when (if) they sell them through alamy :)
they also used an email address that I havent used for 3 years, except for alamy (so perhaps they got it from there) or they got it from somewhere very old.

I received an email yesterday, the email address I frequently use for business matters - but then it has been used for so many sites, possibly the guy took it from one of them (former employee, for instance).
