Title: Anyone contributing to Pixta?
Post by: Ambu on January 04, 2023, 22:12
Are they really paying 22% royalties for Photos/Illustrations & 40% royalties for videos ??

are you aware that they are paying less than mentioned, by cheating when converting credits to JPY ?

Technically it might be, I personally did never have any after a year with a portfolio of 1 thousand, image and footage included.  ;D

If they really pay us 40% for video sales:
---> they are selling 1 direct 4k video for $180, 40% of it is $72
---> they pay us in JPY after conversion, $72= 9510 JPY ( at present conversion rate) which is 40% of the selling price

What they really do is:
---> Instead of dollars, they add 72 credits to our account
---> and they do conversion as 1 credit = 100 JPY, 72 credits = 7200 JPY,  which is 30% of the selling price

Note : they always use same conversion, as the JPY value reduces, % of royalties we get decreases

I found that they mentioned it in their FAQs later, but if they say the currency used in Pixta is "credits", why they not selling in credits instead of dollars?
