I see plenty sales from certain subjects but they could all be old, for all I know. So are you having getting consistent downloads with Dreamstime in 2024?

If so, WHAT'S YOUR SECRET????

My Dreamstime sales in 2024 are consistent with past years.  I usually make pay out in 2 months.  At this time, I have approximately 8100 photos.  My secret is to keep posting.  Dreamstime makes it extremely easy to upload.  Also, they accept most of my photos.  I have a 98% acceptance rate.

"Dreamstime makes it extremely easy to upload."
  extremely??

For me it is one of the most tedious to upload, so much so that I hardly upload anything there anymore.  2023 stopped selling me almost nothing, and in 2024 nothing. Port of almost 30k images.

I find the uploads really easy. I keep hearing that having some exclusive content with them will increase exposure and downloads. Might try that.

I'll be closing the account down once I make my only one and final payment request from Dreamstime. I've made the payout but letting it there while it continues to increase barely at a couple of dollars a month then when I finally take payment, then it goodbye to dreamstime.

Yes, uploading 10 files is "extremely easy" anywhere, try 100, 1000 will cost you hours while same quantity are uploaded in Adobe in minutes. Dreamstime has a vintage submission system suitable for retired people who have all the time in the world.
Nevertheless it is sympathetic agency and I hope it will be around for many years.

uploads are easy submitting is tedious -- not only do you have to submit 1 by 1 but you often need to scroll down (on a full screen window) two get to the submit button. and there are several seconds of waiting between each image - enough to be annoying but not enough to multi-task

whereas with batch submit you can process 100 images with a few clicks

Ok, I simply don't have the problem of needing to upload hundreds of files in one batch. Then I am sure it is more tedious than other places.

I submit 10-20 a day or 50-100 a week and do the details on my phone when I am waiting for the bus or other boring daily life situations.

i asked around the forum to see if anyone had luck with any of the "lesser" agencies and this one seemed to come up a few times.  over the last month i've added close to half of my portfolio.  i've gotten 3 sales for RPD of $.90.  early impressions is it seems promising though unlikely to be a huge money maker.  my opinion is if you contribute to shutterstock to get $.10 you might as well contribute to dreamstime.  at the rate SS is decelerating i'd be shocked if i earned more there than on DT come end of year despite smaller portfolio and shorter time spent on the platform.

Submitting is worst than before. Autofill used to be helpful but now it needs to be done on each photo instead of just automatically.

they made a change awhile ago that turned off autofill (one time), you just need to set autofill on the page before you edit an individual image.

I find DT upload straightforward, but I upload 20-25 images / month at most.  Pop-up if description is less than 10 words ("Ooops ... Give yourself a chance") is bit annoying.  I think Caption /  Description being 2 separate fields is not necessary;  single field, like SS or Adobe do is better (and faster)

For me worst by margin is iStock, with that managed keyword concept.  "Landscape" is not recognized, but "Landscape - Scenery".  Or "Equirectangular Panorama" instead of "Panorama".   Etc.  Although their support told me once non-recognized keywords are still indexed, just not expanded into whatever managed mapping system does in the back end.  Don't know if this is true or not.

Dreamstime has been in a coma since around 2015/2016.
Would not invest much time in uploading new content, it's not worth it.

Would'nt be concerned if they will get in insolvency so the buyers move to other bigger agencies.

Yes, DT is a real pain to upload with the auto keywords turned off. It also keeps saying you have less than 5 words in the description even when there are well over that & won't let you submit. I have to re-word the description. The number & rate of sales is very poor & hasn't improved in more than 3 years since my 1st download even with over 1000 more photos.
The last time I had more than 35c a Download was in May 2022 when I had a $2+ DL very poor. SS & Adobe have been much better.

what does it show when it says < 5 words?   DT doesnt use the description or subject from meta data

DT doesnt use the description or subject from meta data

For me it does.
I have embedded titel, description and keywords in my metadata and all I have to do with Dreamstime is select the category. That's why I do not understand why people here say the upload process was compilcated. It was even easier when they auto-detected the categoeries, all you had to do was click on submit, but unfortunately that does not work anymore.

I agree, and I don't understand. The auto select categories has to be turned on, each session. I use my own keywords, title and description. I don't do hundreds at a time, so that could be different. But the same keywords, title and description are used for every other site, except Adobe, where I have to remove the Title.

But I uploaded three images this morning. DT reads all the data...  All I had to do was look at the words and categories and click submit. Basically three clicks and they were all in review.

No I don't use their auto keywords, it just makes a mess of things.
