I hope it is just me but my sales (mid month already) are very poor. I will have to find a soup kitchen and homeless shelter if things don't pick up soon  :-[

The only good thing about this bad situation is that I meet other photographers at the soup kitchen and homeless shelters  :-\

April looks a tad slower for me than March but MUCH better than February. In fact, halfway through April I have already passed Feb sales.

Fotolia is slightly down from an unexpectedly high month in March but is slated to be 2-3 times better than February. SS is better than both March & Feb due to a nice SOD. 123 has had a small boost after a bad March. And everything else (BigStock, PhotoDune, DT, IS, CS) are slow as molasses as usual.

is fotolia and adobe affecting ss??? i look at leaf's poll results and seems like is and fotola
are moving up . what do you think??? is it time to increase uploads there???
and yes, ss seems to be faltering with nary a SOD, ... to rescue it. usually by this time of the month i would have reach payout point at worst.

For me FT is doing good and SS is just barely lurching along.  If the second half of the month is like the first SS on track for worst month in years,

For me it's Istock that is waaaay off. All the other agencies seems to be on track.
Istock is actually 80% below my normal half-month sales.

April seems to be a little worse than March. Easter holidays probably cut the sales. I'm only doing vectors that are not for specific holiday scene.

What about today, April 15. Sales seem to be down across the board. Taxation season ? Holiday or what ?

Today is low ! I usually have more sales in the morning ! Is it a holiday ?

It's not a holiday. It's about April to date. Having a bad morning is quite a useless statistic in this business these days.  Sorry for my rudeness.

I believe you are quite new to stock. How big is your port?

Yes, quite new! Just passed a year but the husband had a backlog of photos so the port is respectable. Maybe? Port size is 800 photos/150 videos (though considerably less photos on SS).

But still growing a lot so it's hard to tell based on my port whether growth is due to growing port or changing trends.

If you have a 800 port and adding photos constantly it's probably increasing sales from expanding your portfolio.

This is what I'm assuming. Although some months see decreases or no new sales despite port growth. April is seeing growth commensurate with port growth. That's at least something!

Update: I did check to see my 'profit per image' which should help control for growth. So far PPI is:

SS: already bigger than March & Feb (suggesting better than average sales)
FT: bigger than Feb, 1/3 of March (mixed results, better than Feb, slow compared to March)
123: smaller than Feb but twice March (mixed results but overall good for sales)
DT: bigger than Feb and twice March (better than average sales)
CS: bigger than Feb and approaching March (better than average to average sales)
BS: less than half of Feb, less than 1/2 of March (slow sales)

No point in figuring out IS until PP & subs come in

For me April is average so far - worser than March but much better than Jan-Feb.
Shutterstock sales (2000+ port) had some decline in Jan-Feb but boomed in March and now seem back to average. Other sellers: average level, more or less.

sales are dying almost across the board for me ( with the exception of DT and DP where the sales are increasing constantly )

SS - very low sales in the last 5 months
FT - disaster ( it used to be my second earner before the adobe deal)
DT - increasing
DP- increasing
123RF - constant
CAN stock - very slow
Alamy- slow

Considering that SS and FT (the most affected sites)  combined used to make 70% of the revenue......  ??? ??? ???
