Title: Artist Stealing Work
Post by: kayann on September 25, 2014, 06:08
Found one of my illustrations stolen on Canstockphoto. The contributor doing the stealing is Bormash. Here is a link to their portfolio. Might want to check if they are stealing your work.

I always say, I don't do anything good enough to steal. I'm still right.  ;)

Here's the report link if anyone finds their work on this persons collection.

I don't know so I can't condemn. I see a great diversity of styles and work, but since you didn't link to what specific image it might be, it's unfair to assume guilty until we can compare images and see the evidence.

Hard to believe I am the only person whose work they are stealing.

Your thread already worked...

I got a notice from Canstockphoto saying they have barred the contributor.

Better do a Google image search and check other sites.

Has anyone had any luck reporting copyright infringement to Google for stolen works that come up in the Google search results? I have reported to Google before and only get "there is no proof".

They should give you the proceeds from any sales - including what they made themselves.

Why LOL ? It's your content they have been selling. They should give you the money. IIRC (and I think it stated on this forum) Shutterstock do that when they find they have been selling pirated content.

Just look at that port! No one is that diverse in style and creates that many variations of one subject!

Canstockphoto barred him Kim

Bunhill - How do you request reimbursment?

Also on Canstockphoto have you ever noticed when their works come up in google search it says the piece is copyrighted to canstockphoto? I include a screen print to show what I mean.

Presumably (I don't know), contact them identifying yourself as the copyright holder, referencing this thread and including any screenshots you have which which include your original content pirated at their site. Ask them to detail any sales and send you the money.

The Google cached version of the page with your image is currently here (http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:qJpRc9PdeYUJ:www.canstockphoto.com/running-man-13419539.html+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk). You should quickly grab a screenshot of that whilst it is still there.
