shutterstock down 80% of my BME at this rate. very alarming. its getting worse after i thought 50% was bad enough. august is even worse than july, much worse.

edit down 80% not down t0 80%

Still pretty OK!  but my overall observations are that being an Emerald ranking at Adobe is worth absolute crap!  SS is wobbling around some days good others lousy but IStock is up and coming.

At this rate, I'm projecting 36% more than July... which is still about 5% less than June. Although that's not far off how it worked out for me last year... and then September was my BME. Hoping for a repeat performance.

ss e fotolia recovering after an appalling first week...dreamstime 7 days without download totally dead, i stop upload anything, totally useless cause only old files sell. 123rf improving but it sells only old files already sold.

I'm finding FT much more patchy than in the past.

Agree! patchy isnt the word haha!  this so called made.-in- heaven merger between Ft and Adobe was just a flash in the pan. I much more prefer the old Ft with Oleg or no Oleg at least the money was great! now its like penny pinching every cent.

Of course your mileage may vary, but my analysis of monthly earnings suggests that August is generally my worst month of the year. Things pick up in September.

Not something I thought I'd ever say, but I really like your thermostat picture in your Image Brief page. A relatively simple change, but a very clever one, that transforms a pretty dull image into something that looks good and much more commercially viable.

I thought Space was saying he didn't think he would ever say he likes a pic of a thermostat? 😂

I was only being sensitive with my tongue in my cheek! ;)

Yes, that thermostat sells quite nicely and I have to thank Image Brief for the original idea. I also took an image of a bag of ice in response to one of their other briefs a while back. Didn't win that brief, but I have since made $1500 on my bag of ice picture. Total cost to take it - $2 for the bag of ice!

I still watch their briefs each day and sometimes submit, and I still find it a source of ideas.

Me too but have never been selected. I just submitted 10 images to the brief 'Desert near Jerusalem' as I was there in February. Wish me luck!
