Title: Autumn - Bigger Sales
Post by: marcflo on August 05, 2015, 14:29
  Hi guys

Is Autumn a better period in sales than the rest?

I mean starting from September do you a nice increase in sales? I noticed during the last years that image sales are rising pretty well in autumn...

is it a known fact or is just me ?! :D

I have data since 2007 and see a definite pattern to my sales.  I get one peak in February based on daily averages; things drop a little in March and continue to slide through June.  They pick up in July and continue to rise until they peak again in October. After that I see a decline until they hit bottom in January.  Your results won't be identical; they depend at least a little on seasonal content.  But I expect improvements as people get done with summer vacations.

disorderly , your trend may not be far off different from most of us. when you consider end of august is when the buyers come back from vacation. also peak in february is because the buyers not only come back to worth after the year end holidays, but also they receive the budget for the next year and buying begins. oct is when they too spend all they can within line of their budget .
all makes sense.

Sounds pretty similar for me too.
But id like to know if people tailor their uploading accordingly, ie upload more the 'peak' selling times, and upload less in the perceived slower months?
I know some people upload seasonal images months or even a year in advance, aparently
