hi all, from 2012 to 2016 I uploaded about a little more than 2000 images to the main agencies and I had a constant growth then, despite the quality and quantity increasing, I began to decline until I decided to stop. My best sellers continue to sell constantly, the question I would like to ask is: if I started uploading again now (not photos but videos) I would still be penalized by the algorithm or have any of you experienced a return of growth, despite the stop prolonged? thank you

I took a nearly 10 year break from uploading.

For instance when I left istock exclusivity in 2013 I uploaded around 1300 files, mostly proven bestsellers, to Adobe. I had some good sales, but then took basically a ten year break.

Of course the income dropped, butnot to zero, I was still getting 10-30 dollars a month on Adobe for doing absolutely nothing.

I started uploading again last year September/October and have added around 2000 files since, a mix of normal photos, videos and also ai.

My income has gone up to 300-600 dollars with now 3200 files.

What happened was when I started uploading, the port woke up and it was mostly the really old content which started to get sales again. Many of these files are from 2005-2008.

The new content started selling after 6-12 months, the way content usually needs time to be downloaded.

But uploading 10-20 files every day apparently was enough to quickly push my port up again.

Last year my weekly rank was around 19000, now it is around 1500.

It will drop again after the holiday season, probably to around 5000, but I think I will continue to make a reliable 200-400 even outside of christmas.

Next year I will try to revive istock and will do a lot of video.

So from my experience, yes it possible to wake up a port and at least in my case, it was the really old content that was making the sales, not the new files initially.

Good luck with your uploads.
