Sometimes I wonder if I should try macros instead?

I'm not sure what criteria qualifies anyone to answer this.  Personally, I find that nature and landscapes sell as well or better than any of my stock offerings.  Most of my sales at DT have been animals.

All and all sales are most important criteria...

My best sellers are nature and editorial, despite my involvement with models. Nature has a lower RPI in general, but it can't be copied easily by the volume studio shooters. Those images have a very long shelf life on stock. Some of my best sellers over sites since 2005/2006:

I started actively upload year ago so I hope it will build up over time :-) 4 of 5 bestsellers are nature shots.

It will be difficult to differentiate the sites which sell well in general or sell well for nature and landscapes in particular.

If you look at the top three sites, such as SS, IS and DT, they are considered the top selling sites in the micro world, not only for any particular categories.

I am doing reasonably well in Alamy, but most of my sales are not nature or landscape either. However, like the above message said, landscape and nature photos tend to have a longer shelf-life so don't give up on them either.

Wow Flemish, that's a great sunset shot, no wonder it sells well :D

Since I don't shoot models and very few objects my best sellers are nature shots.

BTW, pardon my general internet ineptitude but how do you insert a photo into a message like you did Flemish?

Click on the little picture of mountains and insert the link, or use BB code. You need to have the correct link, or nothing will show. Go to your image, right click and View Image, highlight the link, CTL-C (copy) to save that link in memory. Come to the BB, insert the link, CTL-V (paste). That's one way to do it.

See up on top between Polls and Search where it says "Help?"  ;D

Here's the short way to the BB code list.

Well there is a user on IS who has sold just under 100,000 of mostly nature photos ...

Lovely images, Mariusz.

But (don't get upset) I peaked at your Bixby Bridge keywords. Gotta say, there are an awful lot of them that are totally wrong (sunset, tourist, lighthouse, mcway, coast, coastline, fog, steinbeck, waterfall, waves, sea, beach). I don't have the heart to look at the others.  ;D

That could be true, it's has been long time since I uploaded this image. Now I usually use Yuri's keywording tool to find words that describe similar images. I was to lazy to revisit and edit older images :-)

Yeah, I don't have the heart to look at my older file's keywording, either.  :D

PS - I actually "peeked", not "peaked".  Someday I'll learn to spell. ;D
