Title: Best sites for selling editorial images
Post by: EIPHOTO on March 03, 2020, 16:41
What sites do people on here find the best sites for selling editorial images on? Its a shame that Adobe is not accepting them, as now would be an ideal time for the open that option up to suppliers.

Any agencies that do better than others in regards to editorial?

the best out there is shutterstock even though lately they are on a big or lets say huge rejection roll .their AI likes to reject a lot
then dreamstime  its a low earner but i had sales on some celebs pics i got
and istock does editorial.but its limited .you cant post some certain images as editorial cause they are scared of copyright
and then we have the others

Getty/IS also rejects live news and sports if it's the same as they produce or have photographers hired to shoot.

As a general rule: You need 1000 downloads on AS before you can contribute Illustrative Editorial.

I find SS is best, because they are pretty much the only one of the top four that makes any sales. Alamy is 4th in my list of sites that accept Editorial. After that, I don't bother uploading into a black hole, just to get exercise or practice in submitting. Testing the lower sites, never one sale in ten years for what I do.
