Hi everyone,

I would like to know what are the best agencies to sell footage?

Thank you in advance.

Varies slightly based on the individual and the content... but when it comes to 'on average', you're probably not going to get a more accurate opinion than the list on the right... plus Videoblocks.

In video things are much, much slower than in photos, especially at Pond 5.
It is quite rare that a video clip sells in the first 12 months, generally they start to get real traction after two years.
What sort of video do you shoot, how many clips?
Can you provide a link to your video portfolio?
At Pond 5 there is a lot of top quality stuff, probably the best footage of all agencies, as artists can set their own prices, so the very best only place their content at Pond 5 and price it at several 100 dollars per clips

Why does it take so much longer for clips to sell on Pond5 than elsewhere?
Other sites I've had sales a month after uploading.
Is it the search engine, the variation in clips on Pond5 or a different client base?
Or something else?

I like the SS
POND5
Getty Images for unique and exclusive images. I make good RM sales.
Fotolia / Adobe
I recently contributed to videoblocks and started to sell a little.

But I believe it depends on what you do.
Sometimes an agency is great for some and not for others.
For example, a lot of people talk bad about the Getty, but it's my second agency on commissions.

Does pretty well for me... I get an average of six sales there every month, from a portfolio of 175 clips.

Have no idea, i was thinking the same thing. Perhaps it is their algorithm. New clips have 0 views for months while old are getting views and sales more and more.

For me FT>=ss >is >pond5>vb. I have been putting up clips since the end of 2016 (100~200 on each site). My contents are nothing fancy though.
