Title: Bigstock a waste of time?
Post by: oscarcwilliams on May 26, 2017, 21:08
How can Shutterstock which is reported to be #1 go and let Bigstock have all these problems for months and months without no solutions?  Would you work for a company like that or would you take their money and not say anything?

I just finished watching the Maddox series on TV.  The people who worked for him saw all the greed but yet for the money they gave in and kept their mouths closed. This is sad because he will die in jail and all the  million dollar Rolex watches was traded in for a $20.00 Timex which he asked for in prison.

To make a long story short.  I love the phrases I see on here. "If it's not broken, why fix it"  Bigstock take note.

I don't always learn business strategies from TV series, but when I do it's because I invented them.

In corporate speak they probably regard it as a "dog" and will just wring any cash they can out of it without investing any effort/money in it.

Do you mean Madoff, as in Bernie Madoff?

It's hard to see Bigstock still being around in five years time.

They are worthless.  I went from $100 a month with 3000 images to $20 a month with almost 4000 images.  I only cash out once a year there. Not worth my time. I keep my stuff there because i am in the bridge club, so uploads are easy.

How do you join the bridge club?  Is it to late now to join.  Thanks.

For what it's worth, I have a subscription at Bigstock. I buy images for my start-up there.
Good value for money (for a start-up), even though the collection has holes, some files available at SS or FT are not there.
Still, I have to save every penny, so for now it is fine.

Why would anyone want to join the bridgeclub when Bigstock is as good as dead?? It seems some people will contribute anywhere regardless of returns.

The bridge was years ago when Bigstock wasn't so bad.  They have since closed the program but those who were in it 4-5 years ago continue to get the benefit of auto transfer of images to Bigstock.  I would say that is a good strategy to keep images up there if uploads take zero minutes to upload.

I uploaded some of my content some time ago, and my conclusion is, if it was worth paying attention to before, it's not now. Rest in peace.

This is my last month.  A staggering 6 May sales.  If they were credit sales it might be worth it, but not for $1.62.

No need to plump up a subscription site that can't sell.  Subs never entirely bothered me when I was selling dozens or hundreds a day, but nowadays when you can go days or weeks without even one sub.... meh, good riddance.
