I'm so new at microstock that I'm hesitant to post this question. But, I'm curious about BigStock. They seem very strict on the reviews and what gets accepted doesn't seem to get any views. I have not had a lot of sales at other sites, but at least my images are being viewed. I have absolutely ZERO views at BigStock. Is lack of action at BigStock the norm or does it take time for images to work they way into search results?
Thanks for any help.

Hi, Warren.
It took a long time before I saw any sales at BigStock, but I see at least
a small amount of sales each month, now. Better than none.
As far as views, I had at least one sale with no views, and one day 80
views with no sales, so views do not mean a great deal there.
Bottom line is just hang in there and don't worry too much.
In the meantime, keep uploading to other sites as well.

In my experience they are not strict with reviews. Sales are quite good there but I did have to upload a lot to get them going. Upload at least 500 good images there and the sales should flow.

Their views counter hasn't worked right for the year I have been with them. I have a couple of images which have sales, but no views.
Now I'm going to report something which a lot of people will find hard to believe. Over the last 6 months, I have about a 90% acceptance rate at Shutterstock. My acceptance rate over the same time frame at BigStock is only 78%.
They have some wonky reviews in my experience. Almost every rejection I receive from them is the "blurry...sorry a little blurry" rejection. I examine every image at 100%, and if it isn't sharp, it doesn't get uploaded. Period. And anyone call tell you that if your image is too soft, it will never make it past Shutterstock's reviewers. So when BigStock calls my images blurry, and I load them up and find they are still as tack sharp as I remember, there is really nothing I can do other than shrug my shoulders.
It is what it is. For the most part, I think the best microstock sites also have the best reviewers (SS, DT, IS).

Dan, the real test.... does Crestock accept BS's blurry shots?

I don't submit to Crestock.

I don't submit to Crestock, but iStock accepts them and that is by far of more importance to me. 8)

I stopped uplaoding to Crestock

I started uploading to BigStock in March and was impatient with the slow sales at first but everyone has been right about them being a consistent earner. They are slowly but surely getting better every month.

Thanks all. Guess more patience is needed. The responses about the "views counter" were helpful. Perhaps my (very few) accepted images are being seen. I must say that the staff has been very helpful in helping to understand the rejections. I admit that I was uploading some questionable images to evaluate the evaluaters. Some got thru. ;) I'm learning as I go.
