Title: Bulk upload of portfolio
Post by: slashnburn on September 12, 2010, 07:08
Does anyone know off hand if Shutterstock, Fotolia and Dreamstime permit the bulk upload of a portfolio. I am uncertain if I will remain as an exclusive with Istock, but can't afford the time to rebuild a portfolio at another agency 10-15 images per week. Thanks

Neither Shutterstock nor Fotolia have any upload limits.  Dreamstime has an upload limit that changes from time to time, and is staggered according to your acceptance ratio.

I obviously don't know what size your port is - but it may be worth making a courtesy enquiry to each if they're going to be inundated with work reviewing just one port for the next five years  ;)

The upload limit at DT for a newbie is at present 350 pics a week. Please do also notice this thread, where Serban promises you 0.20 USD in upload bonus for anything accepted before Nov 15th.

If you choose to quit exclusivity I'm sure any of your friends would appriciate it if you use their referral links. Or you could do as FD suggested in another thread and sell it to the highest bidder.

Veer har 100/week, but only until they have looked at the quality of your work. If it is high quality, they will lift the limit.

Even at sites without upload limits I noticed increased rejection levels if I upload way too many files at a time, not necessarily similar.

I suppose it's not an official policy but just the reviewers getting bored. So you'd better ask them.

I'm certain site like SS, FT and DT will provide help to you in your current situation if approached. DT (as mentioned above) has openly posted in their forum that they will somehow assist "people exclusive elsewhere" to move to DT.
