Dear Microstock Agency:

It has come to my attention that in some of the photographs I have taken of myself, I did not give myself permission to use myself for commercial purposes. While I did give myself permission for some of the images and have signed model releases for myself to take pictures of myself and sell pictures of myself for myself's personal gain, I didn't give myself permission for other images and myself has uploaded those pictures of myself without my permission.

In the future, Unless I give myself permission for each image I take of myself I don't want it assumed that I gave myself my permission to use the likeness of myself in my portfolio. I appreciate your prompt attention to this aggregious error and please give all of your lawyers a raise and take it out of my earnings.

(Note: I didn't give myself permission to include that last sentence.)

That's the reason why IS requires a new model release for each shoot so this wouldn't happen!

Thanks for the Monday humor. Me, myself, and I approve this message.

LOL!  I think you are trying to put one over on yourself.  Good thing the agencies are protecting you from yourself ;D

Actually they don't if the image is of yourself.

From the iS guide on model releases - "The one model that we will allow a catchall release for is yourself."

Not only a release but a release with a very specific description of what you are releasing. After all you may have only meant to have certain images of yourself taken and not others. Some call it careful others paranoia.

Careful.  Exactly.  I mean, what if you should decide to sue yourself?  This way you are protected :)
