Title: Confusing Login Problem
Post by: WarrenPrice on April 26, 2010, 16:20
I have the new computer with windows 7 and fast processor.  Mostly everything (data transfer, etc) is going well.  One very confusing problem, however, is that I can not login on Dreamstime with the new computer.  Everything is fine as long as I use the old one, but using the very same login data on the new computer doesn't work???

I have emailed support and the answer was to be sure I am entering the data correctly ... case sensitive, etc.  That just is not the answer.  I've been trying for two days.  Any ideas???

PS:  there is no problem at any other site; just DT.

I can only imagine it's some type of setting at IE or FF (cookies and such) or perhaps the firewall.

Thanks Maria.  I did the things you suggested, the things Erin at Dreamstime suggested and nothing worked.  I finally got the new computer logged in using Firefox.  The problem must be somewhere within my IE8 settings but I am at a loss.  I've been considering the switch to Firefox anyway.   :)

Also, Windows 7 comes without the Outlook Express mail handler that I have used for years.  Maybe Thunderbird will come to the rescue?  ;D

I was told to download Windows Live Mail as a replacement for Outlook Express by my ISP.  I have not tried it yet, I am suppose to have my new PC delivered today.

Packerguy,
I am using Live Mail.  It was a bit confusing to setup but I am sort of a dinosaur techie.  It does work but still confuses me.  I'll have a look at Thunderbird.
Congrats on the new computer.  I am enjoying the look and feel of my new one.
