I am refering to some of the smaller agencies here. At the moment, GL, has disabled uploading since a week back,  Stockfresh cant generate any thumbnails, Veers, need about 3 weeks, to review uploads.

Seriously!  is it any wonder?  I mean surely, agencies that intend to grow, surely such basic criteria as uploading and reviewing speed is of the utmost importance, isnt it.
Seems to me some of these agencies are running before they can walk, hoping things will sort itself out on the way to glory.

GL just relaunched their site with a completely new design, functionality, and array of contributor tools to help track sales. Uploads are disabled while they continue to work on the site relaunch.

The SF thumbnail issue seems to be affecting a small number of people. I've personally never had the problem and from the looks of the forums, it's not a huge widespread issue.

It's a real stretch trying to find fault with things that are minor issues and inconveniences, especially in the case of GL where they just relaunched the site with so many new tools and features. I'd say they're "running" just fine.

If they retained uploading during the transition and something went wrong or review times lagged because resources were diverted to the site relaunch, then you'd be complaining about that instead. At least they did the smart thing and suspended uploads at a time when resources are needed to make the relaunch go smoothly.

Yes, the world will end this weekend!

I'm not with GL.

SF keeps selling for me - no complaints there.

Veer always had very, very long review times, however they do sell.

We made it work when Alamy used to accept only mailed CDs/DVDs and we still got sales.

What matters more? Fast approvals or actual sales?

Oh regarding the thumbnail issue at SF. Why didn't you mention the thumbnail issue at SS (approved images missing in ports etc.)?
They've been having a bunch of technical issues lately as well, but I guess you must have forgotten them?

No, it doesn't. Your uploads may not be affected but there are recent uploads that won't be visible to you or any buyers. That is not "working fine", it is partially broken.
