I was just wondering. Is there a league table for which country is buying the most pictures? It would be interesting to see say the top 10. I would imagine that America would head this because of size but who would be next? Or is this information too difficult to find?
-
Yeah! that would be interesting - if somebody could knock it up!

Nice one andresr.
Similarly, most of my sales at FT are from places like France & Germany.
As regards other sites - I don't really know.

Thanks, If I can just ask another question along the same lines; are there noticeable differences in what sells to the various countries or is it similar subjects?
-
I also notice a vast majority of sales in FT coming from Europe (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain). I have the impression they were the first to have multi-lingual sites, am I right? This may be the reason.
As for country subjects, I have several images using Brazilian money (which I may assume are sold mainly to Brazilians) and IS and StockXpert sell them better. I also have images of Rio, but these may be used everywhere in travel agencies.
Regards,
Adelaide

You are right. I'm writing sometime on a new french forum. Barely all the contributors know nothing about StockXpert SS IS and others. They just know about Fotolia.
For the countries who download the most I'm surprised and not at the same time to don't have China in the list

Google is your friend and Alexa (http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details/istockphoto.com) is your girlfriend! 8)
Traffic ranking is a good indication on where the buyers are. So the UK is second and China third!
-
Wow a great tool. You can see the December drop and march doesn't seem better. Alexa is my new girlfriend :)

I just compare Dreamstime vs Istock. IS have about 4 time more traffic and the comparison goes on...
