Anyone contributing to CreativeFabrica? What is your experience with them?

You don't need to buy anything there to list. I've made more money with Creative Fabrica than I made on the two microstock sites I'm on combined, and I haven't even sold that much there. Subscription sales are shared with all the contributors so for someone like me who gets occasional sales it's well worth it.

Searched my emails and it looks like they invited me a few times over the last few years, but they are an ultra cheap unlimited DLs sub site that gives POD rights as standard I think? I believe that's why I have never signed up.

Digital End Products
Below, you will find examples on how to use your downloads for Digital End Products. A Digital End Product is a product in a digital format that is intended for sale to multiple people (for example a wedding invite template). Creating a logo or a website for 1 client is not considered an end product and is fully covered under this license.

YOU ARE ALLOWED TO
Use elements to create a new design. For example, you are allowed to use floral elements to create a floral themed wedding template.
Create new designs combining multiple downloaded resources and adding items of your own, as long as the new design is flattened and the original items cannot be extracted.

YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO
Create end products that compete with the original product. For example, you cannot bundle multiple designs and sell that as a new product, or simply change basic elements such as color and size and sell that as a new product.
You cannot sell in a way that is directly competitive with the original item that you downloaded. For example, you cannot grab a resume template, change the elements and sell it as another resume template.
Create a digital product that includes single elements or allows users to extract the elements that you've used (all designs must be flattened).

If this is the case, wouldn't it means that a subscriber can RESELL your photo/vector after they modify it? No matter how you look at it, wouldn't this be "dangerous" in a way?

One of the reasons that I like them is that they offer a POD license which you can ether enable or disable. Sales with a POD license earn you more. And what I really like about them is that you set your own price on your images. If you get sales at CF you're not going to earn pennies like at the mircostock sites that take most of earnings, at CF you you earn half on your sales  and 75% percent if you make the sale through your referral ID. Creative Fabrica treats their contributors very fairly and generously in my opinion, unlike microstock agencies.

Good to hear you can opt out of the POD sales, can you also opt out of the subscription sales and only sell for the price you choose? I am also concerned about the VERY low prices people are choosing for their work there.

All very messy/ confusing as to what you can can't do depending on whether your subscription is active or not. Asking for trouble IMHO.

Hi LizC. Can you share which two microstock sites you are comparing with?

And is it true that someone can just buy your artwork at CreativeFabrica, altered it, and resell at sites like Shutterstock, Adobe Stock, and etc?

I believe them when they say they are making more money at this site. These sites crop up now and then. Early adopters can make a lot until more people sign up, then they post complaining that they used to make 11c per DL or per image on the sub package, now they make 4c and isn't sustainable any more. It's like a pyramid scheme.

What I concern most is that they allow buyers to resell the artwork digitally. Even though it says they are very strict on this and doesn't allow the new produced artworks to be competing with the original artwork, but it sounds like a grey area. Who is going to monitor this and say what can be done or not. Then you will have to fight for every cases in the future.

Furthermore, all microstock sites need their contributors to 100% produce and own anything they submit. But now, somebody take your artworks from CreativeFabrica, modify it, and upload to microstock sites, and claiming they have license to do so. This will be conflicting and raise a lot of problem.
