Title: Crestock - Dead Agency Walking?
Post by: PowerDroid on January 02, 2010, 12:35
The original post in the "2009 Year in Review" thread lists Crestock as one of the agencies that (may have) bit the dust in 09.  Anyone hear anything about their status?  I stopped uploading there about a month ago when my queue reached 98 images, and there's been no reviews of my submissions in about two months.  I wouldn't care, but I've still been earning about $1/day there for the past few months, so it bugs me to think I'm earning them money and they're doing nothing to earn it, and who knows if I'll ever get a payout when I'm due if there's no one minding the store.

yeah very dead. same with outstanding approval,
and then once reviewed, all were rejected due to
'this is not stock material'  ;)

omg Crestock... what an awful experience and what a waste of time.

Guys that agency is literally a dead man walking. Now I closed my account but when I would upload there I remember that my queue got huge for the lack of reviews in almost two months. No matter how many emails or support-tickets I sent to the staff.

What is the sense of a micro stock site not reviewing and updating? None, case in point.

I hope everyone stops uploading and their buyers realise there is something wrong and go to the other sites.  If a subs buyer leaves crestock and goes to shutterstock, I earn around 50% more per download.  $0.25 commission is too low now, hopefully Getty will find that out as well.

I haven't uploaded anything new there but I still make more from them than I do Bigstock, Veer, Featurepics, and 123RF. I got a payout a few weeks ago, it took like a month but it did eventually come through.  :-\
