from which country, I agree - it's a useful statistical information which may help us to tune our portfolio to the buyer's needs

the use, how are they supposed to know? surely they can't ask buyers to bother to answer a poll each time they download a picture

Simply do u want to know wht ur sold images in any agency been used for ?

Would I like to know about the usage - yes. Would I request agencies to do that - no. FT example is a sign why this would not work. Knowing the country would make no difference for me.

SP make it optional for the buyer to declare usage - only once I got that information. A frequent buyer would possibly never take the time to answer that.
