Hi all. I sometimes receive emails from Deposit photos saying I sold some images. The thing is they always show that i've sold 3 in the messages, always 3. This has been going on for years. They are a poor earner for me so I've never really paid much attention to it. What has your experience been? Any input regards this?

That's an "issue"?  ??? But for what it's worth, no, my reports from DP vary from day to day. Sometimes three. Sometimes one. Sometimes two. They're low on the totem pole but they've always been a consistent, steady seller for me. I think when buyers are looking for something less "mainstream" they seek out images from less popular agencies.

Yes, they are steady sellers and I keep uploading there. But less mainstream, i don't think so, those are the same pictures like everywhere else, the same contributors uploading the same batches.
What I don't like is their blog they send to contributors. It is written by some arrogant teenagers that don't have a clue about stock photography, constantly making a joke out of the genre. Like it is a cliche, it should be more realistic and artsy. And it comes from Depositphotos which is a synonymous for cheap stock?! And they send it to contributors, laughing to their faces?! Written by some momy's and daddy's girls, that never had to make a living from stock photography?! It is complete disaster, unprofessional and idiotic.

Fortunately I've never received that blog. I would say DP is where I sell my dullest most cliched stock images most. Though I sell there quite rarely I often find Dreamstime sell what I regard as my more interesting and varied stuff.

No, I've had no problems regarding this issue. As a matter of fact, DP has been a top earner for me outperforming Shutterstock.

The same thing happens to me. However, whether I sell more than three or not in a day, the email never shows more than three. You need to check the stats page to find out how many actually sold.

I guess their system isn't designed for exceptional events like selling more than three images on there in a day ;-)
