I have some Christmas stuff online from last year (and previous years).  I also shot a few Object on White images in early November.  Some sites have accepted them but I am seeing very few sales.  Is it still early or did I miss Christmas?

I've been told that you have to load up by August for the Xmas Season from some very good sources (buyers).

Stuff from last year and a couple of isolated images probably won't generate much.

Don't have all that much Christmas stuff, but I am getting a big uptick in my Easter images.

Easter already?  I guess I did miss the rush.  But, none of my older stuff made sales?
Maybe next year?
 :-\

EDIT:  I'm wondering if each Holiday doesn't have its own cutoff date?  My Veterans Day stuff seemed to sell right up to the holiday.
I've really given very little thought to Holiday Images.  Trying to get a little better at offering what buyers are seeking.   :-[

from what I've been told about 3 to 4 months out before the holiday especially Xmas since the advertising must be sent to print by early November (Black Friday in the United States).  Just tell Santa that you were a bad boy and he will forgive you next year...

I get Christmas images selling all year. There are always some last minute sales even up to Christmas Eve, but the bulk of the heavy volume is September through November. I think SS said the Christmas searches peaked in the third week of November.

If your images on SS are representative, you have a tiny selection of Christmas images and the style/coloring is a bit of a niche appeal, IMO. The queen of Christmas at iStock is Liliboas. Her simple, classic elegant styling sells really well. If you prefer styles with a lower volume of buyers, that's fine (and in the case of local traditions, the agencies are actively encouraging us to produce such items), but the volume of sales will be small too.

Thanks for the link and for the opinion.  My selection at SS is only about 30 images.  Other sites have accepted more of the "objects."   I am/was hoping the wooden ornaments would be "unique."  I was really confused when SS accepted a batch then rejected another large batch for Trademark/copyright problems.
But, that is another story.
Again, thanks for the input.  I'll start thinking about Easter concepts -- more isolated eggs.   ;D ;D

I only have a few Christmas images but they've been selling and they seem to sell right up to Christmas day and beyond.  I've never taken much notice of when to upload, if somethings good enough, buyers will find it when they need it. The problem might be over saturation, Christmas is already covered, unless you can come up with something a bit different.
