Title: Difference between macro and micro stock sites

Hi

I was wondering if anybody can tell me the difference between macro and micro stock sites?

Also if there are any other types of stock sites, (small, normal etc) to gauge a better understanding of the stock landscape

Micro = you make pennies
Macro = you make dollars

As I just posted in another thread - my last sale on Alamy netted me $3.50.

Alamy July $21.40 commission only sale this year. Micro pays more per agency per month.

Yup...  Getty has moved from the double digit payout per sale to a single digit per sale to decimal digit per sale
