This is a random and weird question, I know, but I'm going to ask it anyways.  Does anyone seem to get more pleasure from seeing sales at one site than another?

Now I know many if not most people here will want to say "nope not at all - to me, money is money is money"... which is fine.  Say it.  No need to make fun of me for being open about my peculiarities though.

For some reason, I get the most pleasure from Dreamstime sales, though they are my #3 earner.  I get the least pleasure from FT I think.

Excluding art prints, which are obviously tops.

Anyone else feel something similar, or am I just endlessly strange?

I get more pleasure from getting bigger sales. The site I get them at doesn't matter. If I think about it, I prefer getting them from sites that pay the highest royalties and/or are fair to their contributors. Alamy fits both descriptions for example. But they happen rarely for me. If I had to choose one I'd say DT, getting 4$ for a medium or 70c for a level 3 sub sure feels good

You bring up an interesting point. I mainly make most of my micro income on vectors as exclusive to istock. These days, i do get happy when one of my vetta images gets downloaded and i get around $30 per download. I think thats the only reason i stay exclusive there. For the higher royalties.
Given the recent events at istock, I would love to jump ship and upload to SS and other sites but i get upset thinking people are downloading my images for almost next to nothing. I just don't believe in the subscription model for the way i work. I'd rather i get 50 people downloading my work rather than 2000 for the same revenue since i spend many hours on one design.

The big sales where I get a high percent make me happiest - like Alamy. The low sales (like .28 and under subs) make me the least happy. When I used to get the .10 and under sales at IS that made me mad and sad.

Indeed I'll say it (not making fun of you at all)... only total earnings make me happy

Well, just fine actually: happiness/joy/pleasure is too much for money
