In a previous controversial thread, Get Paid Shooting Nothing (http://www.microstockgroup.com/general-stock-discussion/get-paid-shooting-nothing/), I remembered of some dirt images I had shot months ago and never uploaded.
I'm happy to announce it is in IS and StockXpert now. ;D

Of course, there are so many similar ones that unless there is some specific keyword, it will be buried in the search results.

Stuff like that is very useful for texturing in 3d work. IŽd buy em for sure. maybe not Vonkaras snow-track... ;)

ha! silly me ! i thought it was for construction publication.
that explains why my "dirt" images of bulldozer by the dirt were rejected as "no sales potential".
i didn't understand why they would take one with just the dirt, and rejected the one with the
blades of the bulldozer next to it.
texture , texture, texture.! magnum, thanks, now i know better not to include the machinery.
just the dirt ! ;)

Or your could just shoot an outhouse and just include the S*** and not the building. Would it be rejected as to crappy? ;D

if you're really trying to hit the texture market, be sure you're far enough back to get a good large sample, so the user can cover a large area, or be able to make their own non-repeating tileable texture.

Maybe you would like my very expected yellow concrete background ;D (http://images.stockxpert.com/pic/m/v/vo/vonkara/36501621_69666874.jpg)

Thanks Vonkara. IŽll think about it. Or maybe IŽll stick with no: 5023 of my own textures ;)

Closeups is also useful. For example if you wanna make your own "massage stone" you need a sharp closeup of a rock.

Sorry to resurrect this, but I had to.
My "dirt" got an EL today. I got US$46 for it - the buyer paid US$230 then? Amazing. ;D

I have just one image that is simply dirt. A large 6-foot high pile of dirt. No other object. 4 dls on IS after 26 months. Ooops--I hope this isn't too much info. Don't want copy cats stealing this idea.

Way to go!
Gosh, it's hard for me to think outside the box sometimes. I'm killing myself thinking of models, wardrobe, props, lighting, etc. and totally forget that half the time it's the simplest pictures that people want.

Nice one. We have a saying in the UK "where there's muck there's brass"
brass being an old word for coinage, change, loot, folding money, spending, filthy lucre, cash, spondoolies, readies, beer vouchers etc etc

Dirt is buried in the results? How about that? ;D
