You can spank me for the shameless pimping but if you have never seen the falls from this angle it is fun. Hope you enjoy. PS. No purchase necessary!

wow. Very nice video of the falls
Did you need a permit to do that?
Your brave flying the drone over the falls
Well done

Thanks! Could not find where I needed one, I stayed below 400ft and kept the drone in sight. Took the risk for the reward :-) My done is small and considered a hobby size

Very impressive!

wow, didn't see this view before.

very nice, and good flying!
I can see that you mainly stayed upstream and apparently tried to dodge the notorious cloud of the falls -- but did you have any concerns with damp and moisture out there (as these are known hurdles except for some 3DR or other weatherproofed ones)...?

That video is incredible. I used to go to Niagara Falls a lot when I lived nearby. One of my buddies did a commercial flyover shoot for Niagara Falls Tourism and I went along as his assistant and second shooter. It was an incredible experience - hanging out of a Cessna with a Hasselblad. What a view!
There are special rules for flying over the area. If memory serves, we had to stay above 2000 feet. I'm surprised you would be allowed to fly a drone over those areas. Maybe it's simply a case of not getting caught! ;)

Beautiful - nice job!

Beautiful video ! Congratulations. I am also thinking to buy one of those little beasts but for stills :-)

Nice!

No laws yet for drone this small but still a risk. Thanks for the kind words! I just had a little luck. Drone was completely dry at landing, I stayed out of the mist as much as possible

great footage john!!!
i just sent my new P3 pro back. After updating to firmware 1.2.6 it would not calibrate and would not fly.
looking at 3DR now.
hope to someday get some great footage like yours

Well done!
With all the roar of the falls, nobody there would complain about the Phantom buzzing sound.
Did you fly above the mist or through the mist?

Awesome footage! Just be careful what you do with it jjneff...I am guessing that since it is over the Canadian side of the falls that you are Canadian? If so, you might want to have a look at this:

PS I'm not implying that you are a dummy...just think the article might be helpful if you are thinking of using drone footage (any size drone) for stock!

I am an American citizen. Just FYI when I came over the boarder our vehicle was searched because of the drone case, I told them what it was and why I brought it, they did not even open the case. Just be aware if you have it in your car the x-ray will see it and you will be searched.
