Title: Download your own vectors? Shutterstock
Post by: mxjr on April 07, 2016, 10:00
I've been searching for hours for an option to download some of my own vectors because I lost the source and I couldn't find any.
I assume the only option is to buy them back. Is there some terms of use against it?
I'd really want to get them back because I wasn't able to throw them on the other agencies and they are "exclusive" to Shutterstock.

I don't believe they will give you the files, and I do believe licensing your own files is against their TOS. I just did the same thing yesterday and will have to rebuild my illustration for the other sites. Grrrr.

Thanks for the replays. Well, bad HDD sectors. Tried some recovery methods with no luck.

I would always keep 2 backups of everything. 2 different external hard drives with the same set of data. 3TB portable hard drives are so cheap these days. Your time is clearly more important than $100.

It's very boring and time consuming to back up. But it's worthy! I do the same system with more than one HHD. But there are other automated alternatives, like building a NAS.
