I think the voting categories are still a bit whacked - too many categories above $5k, not enough in the $1-5k range.

Not a bad month, best I've had so far this year anyway but still -29% off October 2007. SS picked up a lot and an EL on Fotolia made their figures better, onto May 08 we go....

I was absolutely thrilled with April 2008.  Another personal BME, shattering the $300 mark for the first time at $342.

3 EL Sales were key, with 1 each at Fotolia, Shutterstock, and iStock.  Without those EL's, it still would have been a BME but not quite to the $300 mark.

Shutterstock continued to lead my portfolio by a huge margin, beating iStock for the 4th consecutive month and 5th in the last 6th.  Most pleasing is sales are not dropping off after the initial push.  The forthcoming raise will increase the lead.  Still lots of love for iStock, which produced a BME for the first time in a long time for me.  Dreamstime was a little disappointing in April, but still solid.  BigStockPhoto had a strong month too.

Among the laggards, 123RF continues to produce an abnormally low earnings per sale.  They need to raise prices (again).  Stockxpert is still floundering for me, now down to a mere 2% of total earnings.

Smaller sites on a "probationary period," MostPhotos and Crestock did not contribute to earnings save for a 25 cent sale at Crestock.

The Breakdown:

Shutterstock  38%  (bme)
iStockPhoto  25%  (bme)
Dreamstime  14%
Fotolia  11%  (bme)
BigStockPhoto  7%
123RF  3%
Stockxpert  2%
Crestock  0.1%
MostPhotos  0%

major 'ebbs and flows' april was all over the place.

overall if it had been a 31 day month, I would have scraped in a BME for micro sales

IS 45% BME
SS 17% Down (only 70% of last month)
DT 15%

123 6% BME
FT 5.5% BME
StockXpert 3.5% Down (only 70% of last month)
BigStock 2.5% Down (only 65% of last month)

FP 1.3% BME (150% of last month)
ZYM! 1.1% BME (pretty good for less than 10% of portfolio approved in beta site)
SCAN 1% BME

CRE .7%
MOST .6% BME
SNAP .5% BME
CAN .4% Down

Most, scan and snap have 55-60% of portfolio.

Phil

aargh, always the way someone comes in with a 30c sub sale at 3 seconds to midnight on a site just after you have finished the tallies...

Overall BME even though my downloads were down a fraction on last month. I'm still edging up towards the $1K mark and getting well within striking distance. Hoping may cracks it for me :)

SS: 45%  BME (by a bee's willy)
IS: 39%   BME - +17%
DT: 9%    BME - +17%
FT: 4.5% Still not so lucky in the lucky dip search

Also 3 sales from Digitalstock.de from hardly any files online, although not included in the breakdown.

Still nothing from Snapvilliage, Cresock and I canned Canstock so nothing coming there.

I'm only at istock so it's 100 per cent of my earnings! Best month for dollars since July 2007 (which was abnormally high as I had an image of the week). Downloads, best for this year.  Big increase in dollars per download, mainly as the ten credit vector sales are starting to kick in, and you don't need to get too many of those at silver exclusive pay rates to increase earnings very pleasantly.

Overall another BME for the past 8 months I've been at this.

I deleted my images from AB. I've stopped uploading to StockXpert, BigStock, SV, and FP. Not worth my time regardless of what little time it takes. 123RF seems to really be picking up consistently. IS is by far the most impressive with earnings and growth.

IS   66% (BME, 1EL)
SS   11% (down a bit, overall flat)
FT   11% (BME from 2 ELs)
123RF   5% (good growth, passed DT, catching up with FT)
DT   5% (up a bit)
StockXpert   1% (down a bit)
BigStock   <1% (down a bit every month)
SV, LO, AB, FP = 0%

Well since I am still pretty new I wasn't going to share this month (too small of sample to be relevant) .. but after figuring it out I have to ..  I don't have the most lucrative results but I bet I win for the funniest .. and/or most bizarre ..

60.41% 123
21.85% - SS
6.31% - FT
4.57% - BS
2.91% - FP
1.83% - DT
1.66% - Scanstock
0% - LO, SV, MP, & IS ; )

I got this ridiculous percentage breakdown from:

A. I started some months ago just playing and uploading my landscapes to BigStock, 123, & LO to get my feet wet .. then around Feb. I started adding in the top four (one every few weeks FT .. DT .. SS .. and IS - just a couple weeks back) .. slowly trying to learn to take more stocky shots as well .. and trying to be conscious of approval % before moving on up to the next agency .. (so the result is as the site is better my portfolio is smaller .. )

B. So as seems typical for newbies even thought this was my first month at SS. they were by far out doing my larger (but not really stocky) portfolios on the other sites ..

C. and then a few days back some generous soul went crazy on my 123 portfolio .. and spent a couple hundred non sub. credits on a pair of my images .. (still knocking on wood that this isn't a computer glitch .. but it has been six days now .. knock knock knock) ..

D. Hey and I just got into Stockxpert today (on try #2)  ... a bit of nice news .

take care .. and thanks for all your helpful posts ..

John

My numbers for April, overall a BME very close to the $ 300 (micro+mid). The big surprise was FT kicking the ass of SS this month.....

1. FT 37 %  up BME
2. SS 29 % down
3. IS 12 % up
4. DT 7 % up
5. 123RF 6 % down
6. StockXpert 5 % up

First sale at Panthermedia this month :)

Hah!  I will be happy just to make it back to $300 this month.  Assuming no EL's, and a bunch of holidays, it could be tough to do again.

I think $500 is realistic target for September, as we come out of the summer doldrums.  Should have enough fresh material by then to make it reality.  Here's to a big second half of the year for all of us!   ;)

rest 4% <1% 3% 1% <1% ~0%

Overall a very bad month, 30% below February, which was my BME.

A small decrease in IS, nearly stable in DT and 123RF, significant reductions in StockXpert, BigStock and FT. Excellent month in FP - 2nd BME, losing only for a month in which I had an EL.

Two sales in CanStockPhoto, one (subs) in CS, one sale in Scan and - surprise! - one in Gimmestock.  SPM is back to none for three months.  Nothing also in LO, Albumo, SV, Zymm, MP, Gecko.
