I'm sure I'm first this month, but as it is a Sunday and buyers seem few and far between, I decided to work out earnings in advance. I ended the month about $100 down from last month to end up with about $1960. Shutterstock easily the best, with $955 and iS next with maybe $234 but it is hard to say without those PPs. All the rest were less than $100. Looking at the numbers, I think the smaller sites do seem to be suffering since the Google image changes. We know that GL has cut reviewers and I can't see any rosy pictures in the other sites either. I finally got a sale from Zoonar (from Getty as their partner) which netted about $40, but I can't rely on them.  I've got about 4000 - 4500 images on most of the sites. iStock is 2800 but I have given up uploading to them again because I am working hard on my own stock site and would rather put the effort there.

So, overall, not great, but OK. Worrying about the future though - lets hope Symbio pulls it all together for us!

Steve

SS up 10%, steady
FOT average, steady
DT weakening, turbulent.

The small ones are also weakening.

Overall June was a bad month... :(... way under average :-[

SS - worst month since May 2012, - 27% compared with may 2013, - 5% compared with June 2012  >:( ???
FT - relative good month, steady increase  ;)
DT - above average  :-\ , but DT earnings are a small part of my total earnings
123RF - bad month  :( , -52% compared with May 2013 ( the worst month of the year :) ),  but +45% compared with June 2013.
Can Stock - above average month, steady increase.

The rest agencies are countless...

Same here, after one year in stock and adding 850 images I am not seeing any increase in $$ anymore.

I have hit my wall at the moment. So I have stopped uploading to all agencies for now. I am going to let my port generate the monthly peanuts and work on my symbiostock site instead. Once all my images and my new images are on my own site, I am going to upload to the agencies again.

It seems I can put in hours of work and see no reward, or upload nothing and get the same amount of $$. Easy choice.

Funny thing is though that the only agency still getting BMEs is 123. But I will be hitting the wall soon there as well is my guess.

My two biggest earners are SS and FAA and with that income (about 450 dollar per month) I am happy at the moment. The occasional bi-annual pay outs from the other low earners is considered bonus.

My earnings for June from the new agencies is 88 Dollars in total, up from 65 last month. This includes both photos and videos.

It is my third month as an independent.

For photos, the average earnings per download were as follows:

stocksy: 12.5, istock: 1.40, Dreamstime: 0.95, Fotolia: 0.60, Depositphotos: 0.30, Shutterstock 0.27, 123rf: 0.22

By sales volume the new agencies rank like this:

Fotolia(15),Shutterstock(13),Depositphotos(12),Dreamstime(3),Pond5(2) and then stocksy and 123rf both had one download.

No sales on alamy.

I am uploading my old portfolio slowly, always mixing new work with older files by theme. I have around 150 - 230 files on the different agencies. Acceptance is around 90%.

Total number of downloads on istock: 154 from 3400 files

Total number of downloads from new agencies (including video): 32

My earnings January - June are up 2% from last year... but my portfolio is 22% larger (10 site average).  Seems I too have found "the wall".

Im up at SS. 619 DLS with 410 images. I think I added about 50 last month. If not it would have been about the same I think. Last month I had 511 DLS. FT is the same. About $1 up. Dreamstime is a bit up in DLS but down in earnings since I had many subscriptions there last month. Overall I see it's pretty stable and with SS that is very predictable I hope to grow steady every month.

What makes you think that ? It will be the full on holiday season.

On par with December 2012 - which was the worst month since my microstock beginnings in 2008   :P

June was okay for me.  Down 9% from May, which is typical for the month.  Up 7% from June 2012.  Year over year I was up 5%.  SS was 49% of my total, up 81% over May, up 82% over June 2012 and up 12% year over year.  #2 123RF was 23%, down 22% from May, up 38% over June 2012 and up 94% year over year.  Every other agency was below 10%, with only PhotoDune beating 5%.

Based on averages, I expect July to beat June after a weak first week, with August my best month of the year.

You guys are vicious. Aren't there some kids in your neighborhood that need you to tell them that Santa doesn't exist?  ;D

Besides, I've got a backup plan of a lucky rabbit's foot and various wishing wells.

There's good news and bad news for me this month:

The   ;D : Thanks to a direct stock photo sale last June (2012), that had been my BME until April 2013 topped it. This June has beaten last June by 35% thanks to another direct license to a large publisher, as well as a nice sale on FAA (even if I don't count the $189 - net to me - from the print sale of one of my editorial stock images on FAA, I still top last June, making this my third BME for stock photo sales).

The  :'(  : Alamy is half what it was last June (but it's so erratic for me there since licensing fees vary so widely), SS is slightly up from last June but just barely and still at about 50% of what I had been anticipating given strong growth there in late 2012-early 2013 (i.e., it's even with last's month's underperformance), DT is more than double last June and actually neck-and-neck with SS, but half what it was before they started knocking down the sub prices for levels 4 & 5.

The  ??? : iS is double last June even without PP, but my port there is so tiny (<45 photos), so even huge jumps up & down aren't significant given my small numbers. The amounts earned on fotolia and bigstock aren't even worth mentioning, though I'm getting a payout from fotolia this month, so that's a  :) .

BMY, because of 2 sales in FAA which were around 200$ each. 1 sale in Alamy at the end of month for 83$ (net to me, gross = 166$), 2 sales in photoshelter, however just small websize images for 28$ each. SS earning was mainly because of video.. rest all micro gave micro earnings.. but ok for my small port.
