'Click' is just a magazine-style program aimed at 'young people'. Their reports aren't intended to be the definitive article on their subject matter, merely a snappy introduction to the latest ideas or products in the digital world.

I think most casual observers would have found the report interesting. The problem here is that we're all 'experts' in microstock, certainly compared to any non-specialist journalist.

If you have significant expertise in any field it is always amazing, when that subject hits the news, how utterly superficial and often plain wrong the newspaper and tv reports that follow are.

The BBC does have some programs with great journalism, it just seems like this isn't one of them!

^^^ It's the 'international version'. When it was broadcast in the UK the prices were in GBP.

The sensor measures 18 mm � 13.5 mm (22.5 mm diagonal). Its area is approximately 27�32% less than the APS-C sensors used in other manufacturers' DSLRs, yet is around 9 times larger than the 1/2.5" sensors typically used in compact digital cameras.

Owning one wouldn't convince me either, it's that old problem of light and physics, or maybe that you can't fit 10 pounds of flour in a 7 pound sack?  4/3rds beats any P&S all to heck, but not APS-C available at the same price. And then there's that whole thing about holding value, available lenses, using your old lenses you already own, buying used lenses... GF2 is not the magic solution just because it has a nice sensor and a touch screen interface.

As for the others, I agree, I may want to get a Flickr account so I can upload my amazing photos and make money. Forget about the 90% of people who come there, thinking everything on the internet is free and Flickr is a source for Free Images. (no I won't be using Flickr for my photos!) And I won't hold my breath that Getty will "discover" me and sell my images for $460 anytime soon.

Let 'em buy (advanced) p&s cameras for the price of a real entry level dSLR, and hope for $250 sales on flickr
No need for more competitors here in microstock (not that I am so afraid of tv watching newbies anyway...)

The GF2 is actually better than a real entry level DSLR, and although it may handle and look like a P&S, you need to go to a FF camera is you want any noticeable increase in image quality.  

The video was motivational. Being a thinker a realised it goes much further. We have voices. Pop stardom? Easy money? We all can sing. I can make a fortune. What about super models? Realistically of course I am the wrong sex and the wrong side of fifty (let us not be delusional) but surely many photographers are wasting their good looks. - $1000's for just standing there.
