Most of my ELs were in FT.  I guess I had about 8-10 there overall.  One in FP too.  And unless I forgot something, none elsewhere.

Adelaide

On FT i just passed "Bronze" (100 Dl's) yesterday and I sold an EL today, but there's a problem:

EL earnings must raise from 20 to 50 credits when you are bronze!! My EL is the 101 Dl's and no raise for me!! Always 20 Crdits!!!
Certainly another bug, shame on Fotolia!

Somebody else have encountered the same bug?

You have to change the price. It doesn't automatically do it. You can e-mail them and they will change your entire portfolio to 50 credits so you don't have to go through each image.

This is my first photo accepted anywhere in 06.  It's a good thing they took this series, as the others were rejected and I may have given up before I gave this microstock thing a chance.  This shot doesn't sell like hotcakes, but it generates a slow steady income.  Nature photography does not give the instant gratification of the "pretty girl in headset" effect, but a good photo seems to sell regularily, and should never really go out of style.

This one has an EL today on SS (YIPPEEE) and two weeks ago on IS.   Funny that the only extended license sales for it in 20 months are 2 weeks apart.

Congrats on the ELs, pixart. I've been a fan of this shot of yours for a while now, and I'm glad to hear you're making some cash from it.

Wow, thanks guys!

Oh, ldambies, how embarrassing!  :-[  But, thanks for noticing - I really wanted a blog and got everything in order, I have a notebook full of topics - but so little time!  I had no idea that once a blog went live the whole world would find out about it so easily.  No optimization, no tags, no submitting to search engines.  I thought it would be like my business... work, work, work to drive traffic - but, apparantly it takes little effort to bring traffic to a blog.  (Maybe I should add one to my business site!)  Here I figured I would write a few entries and then add it to my signature.

How on earth does Lee manage such an excellent blog?

So thanks for noticing, on your behalf, if I manage to finish designing several Christmas cards for clients this week - I'll try to update!

Hey, nice looking blog.  Let me know when you write your story.

I notice you don't have a referral badge for StockXpert.  I tried earlier and just gave up.  Finally, got back to it this morning and came up with something.   When I was looking around at other people's blogs I couldn't find a StockXpert badge and wondered if it's not just me - that there is something wrong with the code StockXpert has on their site.  You have to apply first to get a referral id.  I manged to figure out some code if you want it to make your own StockXpert referral badge I can send it to you.

Well I rarely get EL sales, and all of them on SS. Till that day of  ;D utter joy  ::), Nov 3 2007, I got 3 EL's in a row on DT around the same time, at maximum size (10MP). I thought at first there was a glitch in the earnings box as there was 75$ more.
All 3 are tropical nature (2 sunsets, 1 waterfall). My guess is somebody used it for a mag, but alas, I will never know, since the buyer didn't send me a comment this time.

The rainbow is faked in with PS.

The red is exaggerated in PS with a soft-light layer. Surf lighted up with simple on-cam flash.

This shot almost killed me. Back to the resort in a moonless night found out my rented motorcycle's lights didn't work. There was a giant concrete block and a very deep excavation on the road, of course without signals and lights. I noticed it when I already passed it, a near miss of 30cm. Welcome to South-East Asia.  ;D

WOW... congrats everyone on the ELs.

I've only had one significant one that sold for $100. (gross) for an extended print run.

If anyone sees it anywhere, let me know please?

I'm happy when fellow photogs post that they get ELs, makes one feel like its all worth it and something to aspire to.

(ok, so how do you insert a picture here... senior moment, can't figure it out.  Can anyone explain in laymans terms?)

Pen, go to the page with your photo.  Right click.  Copy the address.  Come back here and use the insert image button which will give you this:    place the photo address in the middle.
(Hit preview to see if you got it right).

I'd post it for you but that would take the fun of trying!
