Yesterday I discovered an Etsy shop selling two of my photographs illegally.  The shop owner apparently had purchased two of my image files from one of the stock agencies that I sell through, and is currently reselling the digital files on Etsy.  This is clearly illegal, and understandably I�m quite furious!

A lot of the work looks very familiar to me as stock imagery, and I wouldn�t be surprised if all of this guy�s listed items are being sold illegally.  I�ve contacted Etsy and hopefully they�ll shut this a-hole down.  In the meantime, I�d strongly suggest that everyone check out this shop to see if your work is being sold there illegally as well.

That would still usually be illegal without an extended licence, but the title is 'digital downloads.
I also only found prints.

When you click on the guy's website, scroll down to where you see "Items" on the left-hand side.  Under that list you'll see the following categories: "Animals download," Beach download," "Flowers/Plants download," etc.  That's where he's selling my files in various jpeg sizes.  Truly despicable!

I did a quick search of etsy in general. I had no idea the place was such a sty.

My wife buys stuff from there from genuine artists and craft types but from a general search it seems like a big percentage is copyright infringing material of star wars characters and the like. Depressing.
