As AI technology becomes more prevalent, Shutterstock is positioning itself as a leader in offering quality training data to customers while ensuring contributors are compensated for their content. In the coming weeks, Shutterstock will expand data licensing to our Video collection, enabling video content that would otherwise not meet the criteria for our traditional stock marketplace to be eligible for earnings under data licensing. Earnings on assets within this library will be paid via the Shutterstock Contributor Fund learn more about it here.
How it works:
Expanded Opportunity:
If Data Licensing is enabled in your account, video content that qualifies for data licensing will now be added to your Data catalog and will be available for licensing as datasets.
Submission Process:
Submit videos to Shutterstock as you would normally. Well review your submissions and let you know how theyre eligible to be licensedwhether through our web marketplace or exclusively for datasets.
Visibility:
Assets approved for creative licensing will be searchable on Shutterstock.com and will be eligible for datasets when opted in. Any assets included exclusively for data licensing will not appear in search results but will be visible to you in your Shutterstock Contributor Portal.
Youre in control of your Shutterstock content:
The account settings page of your contributor account provides options for you to have full control over how the content in your Shutterstock portfolio is licensed. Keep in mind that the more content in your portfolio, the more opportunities youll have to earn extra income.
