Does anyone uses his stock photos in contest sites like pixoto, gurushots or other sites?

well i am, but no luck there.specially in gurushots most of the winning shots are the images that they d be rejected by agencies like ss and dt.Overfiltered or done  by photoshop
but i guess its the kind of images people want to see and admire rather than a blant stock photo of a tree lol
on the other hand what puzzles me bout these contest, if in the best case scenario you won then they  want to take the rights and not be able to sell it.i ve read that in the rules of a contest in some site

Contests are tricks "smart" guys use to pay peanuts for thousands of photos, which would have costed them much, much more, if licensed the normal way.
I could understand claiming rights for winning photos, but why reserving rights for ALL submissions?

Even "better": in some contests, you have to pay to get your photo licensed or taken from you.
